Mike Eggleston is a Community Development Researcher with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, He works to advance understanding of the distribution and availability of financial capital for small business development, affordable housing, nonprofit capacity building and other efforts focused on promoting economic resilience and mobility of under-resourced households and communities.

Eggleston has produced research, analysis, and developed data tools that have highlighted the flow of capital into communities and organizations, including the role of mission lenders such as community development financial institutions.

His work has been featured in publications such as American Banker, NextCity, St. Louis Business Journal, and Louisville Business First. Eggleston is a recipient of the 2021 Leadership Award from the Incarnate Word Foundation and was selected for the 2021-2022 class of Leadership St. Louis. Additionally, he currently serves on the Board of Directors at Habitat for Humanity St. Louis.

Eggleston received a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University – Bloomington and a master’s in public policy administration from the University of Missouri- St. Louis.
