Lance grew up in Arnold and came to Ameren in 2006 after graduating from Missouri University of Science & Technology (UMR) with a degree in electrical engineering. After building his career in substation design and relay maintenance, he joined the Construction Services department in 2013. His most notable accomplishments during his time in Construction Services include leading the construction of eight new substation facilities, two new transmission line segments, and a river crossing during one of Ameren’s largest construction programs. Additionally, Lance oversaw and led the construction of a new river crossing in North St. Louis and developed a program for substation constructability and quality.

In 2017, Lance began to organize fellow Ameren employees to participate in build days with Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis. This effort started as a few weekends during the summer and is now a nearly monthly occurrence.

Lance resides in Festus with his wonderful wife Audrey, daughter Abby, two sons Miles and Ben, and their Pyrenees mix Piper. He enjoys spending time out with his family and growing their love of camping
