Dr. Ashley Storman (she/her) is a distinguished Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholar, Practitioner, Educator, Author, and Consultant, dedicated to fostering inclusive environments and advancing equity in higher education, non-profits, and corporate spaces. With over 15 years of experience in recruitment, retention, leadership development, mentoring, employee resource groups, consulting, and strategic program implementation, Dr. Storman is committed to empowering marginalized communities and educating allies through transformative initiatives.
Dr. Storman is a published author and editor of the textbook Sharing the Legacy and Narrative Experiences of Black Women in Education, a powerful collection of narratives highlighting the leadership journeys and contributions of Black women in academia. Her research focuses on the leadership development of Black women who aspire to positions of influence in the academy.
A recognized leader in her field, Dr. Storman is a fellow of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative Leadership Program, a past Board Member of the American Advertising Federation STL and Rides N’ School Supply, and a committee member for Girls Inc. of St. Louis. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, serving as Co-Chair of the Empower Our Families Initiative.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Storman identifies as a Christian, Wife, and Mother, drawing strength from her faith, family, and community as she continues to drive meaningful change.
